The Battlefield 3 beta is completely swing and over the weekend some clever chaps decided to create a mod for that PC version from the game..The gamers modded the Operation Metro map to support 128 players instead of the standard 32 because why don't you right We knew these items were gonna happen but what you may not have access to seen coming was EA and DICEs response..According to Rock Paper Shotgun In an official statement around the forum which now looks like its been pulled they claimed that playing around the hacked servers can ca use your bank account to get compromised stats to become altered or other issues to arise which may result in having your money to become banned by EA. If your money does get banned it mean some other EA game you've got on the account would also be unavailable..YIKES That is a good punishment. Especially considering some of these mods are popping up in the official Battlelog browser. Considering that DICE has recently come toward the Battlefield 3 is meant for the PC and being hand-crafted for that PC I understand they may be protective of the product. But punishing the consumers who pay with the product simply for experimenting then threatening all another products they taken care of from you seems just mean-spirited..What do you guys think about it Does DICE and EA have the right to do this Have you seen any hacked servers or mods for that beta Do you imagine hacking and modding for PC games is just something publishers should stop worrying about Let me me know your ideas inside a comment below.
